7. Hagia Sophia returns as mosque.
Hagia Sophia was a cathedral 1500 old during the time of Byzantine empire.
It was turned into a mosque in 1453 when constintinople fell and Ottoman empire rise.
In 1930 republic of Turkey shutdown the mosque and turn it into a museum in attempt to make the country more secular.
Now Turkey's Court verdict announced to open mosque again. Soon after verdict government of Turkey issued order to open from coming Friday 24 July.
Hagia Sophia is a UNESCO world heritage site, UNESCO issued is a strong statement saving conversion was a violation as convention concerning the protection of the word culture and natural heritage.
Because it designated "a museum of world cultural heritage."
