In 2016- 259 million, 2019- 267 million and projected 273 million in 2021.
Sustainable development goal number 4- quality education, images setback to SDG 4 due to covid-19.
Currently more than one in six people are out of work due to covid-19.

2. Ministry of electronics and information technology in partnership with atal innovation mission Niti aayog launched digital India aatm nirbhar Bharat innovation challenge.
To identify the best Indian apps that are already being used by citizen and have the potential to scale and become world class application.
Challenge in 2 track
Track 1- promotion of existing app
Track 2- development of new apps
Innovation challenge last date is 18 July 2020.
Jury with expert from private sector and academy will evaluate and shortlisted apps will be awarded.
Awards- first price 20 lakh,
Second price 15 lakh
Third price 10 lakh
